History

About Christensen Racing:

Christensen Racing wast established in 1998 near
Daytona Beach, Florida. We dont have much of a shop,
just a one car garage built a few feet off of the house. We
have two cars that are currently being raced. These
include a 1997 Hyundai Elantra that is driven by Reid
Christensen in a 4-cylinder pure stock division. The other,
a mustang modified mini-stock, is driven by Rex Christensen.
We are in the process of building a sportsman for Reid to
race in the near future.

2011 Season in Review:

Reid was the primary driver this season, picking up two
second place championship finishes at Bubba Raceway Park
and Putnam County Speedway. He picked up over 15 heat and
feature race wins, and is looking to do better in 2012. Reid will
be racing the mini stock most of the season in preparation for
moving up to a sportsman. In 2011, Rex Christensen gave dirt a
shot for the first time. After racing on asphalt his whole career,
dirt was hard for him to get a hang of. Rex says, "After racing
asphalt all those years, it is hard for me to drive dirt because I
correct myself when the back end kicks out. In asphalt, you don't
want it to kick out so it will take some practice."

The end of 2011 brought disappointment for Reid. After
blowing motors week after week, Reid is hoping 2012 doesn't
shed the same light. We thank Art Souther for all the help he
gave us in 2011, spending long nights working on the cars. We
are hoping to again work with him in 2012.

Plans For 2012:

As of right now, we are in the process of building a
Sportsman. Reid will do most of the racing in 2012, with possibly
a few appearences by Rex Christensen. Reid will be running for
a mini stock championship, while racing his 4-cylinder at a couple of
events throughout the year. Please check us out on Facebook to
keep up to date with Christensen Racing. You can also watch video's
of Christensen Racing on Youtube. We  are preparing for the challenges
that 2012 may bring us. Lets make it a good one, go get 'em boys.
