Reid Christensen, the young 17 year-old driver from Port Orange, Florida shows incredible talent behind the wheel of a race car. He started out racing go-karts at the age of 11, where he picked up 13 features and 11 heat race wins. He continued racing go-karts until 2007, then deciding to sell his kart to help his father Rex Christensen win a championship. In November, 2011, Reid bought his first actual race car. It was a 1997 Hyundai Elantra that has proven to be a great car. After running four races in 2010, Reid started his first full season in 2011. He ended up winning over 8 heat races and 7 features. This resulted in two second place championship finishes at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL, and Putnam County Speedway in Palatka, FL.
While not behind the wheel of a race car, Reid enjoys to do activities such as fishing, hanging out with friends, or the occasional race on his Xbox. He also attends college and high school, where he hopes to go to UTI and become a mechanic after he graduates. Reid is constantly making friends both on and off the track. With his postive attitude and hard-working mentality, he is always working on making his race car faster.
The 2012 season may prove to be a turning point in Reid's career. This year, he will move up from his 4-cylinder pure stock and drive his father's modified mini stock. He will compete for a championship at one, if not two tracks and is hoping to top the charts. At the same time, we are working on a sportsman for Reid to race. Hopefully the sportsman will be done by the end of the 2012 season. Reid would like to thank all of the people that have stepped in to help out.
